Then, a short shuttle rides takes you to the National Kiwi Hatchery Aotearoa where you’ll learn about the life-saving work of our expert Kiwi Keepers who hatch, raise, and prepare kiwi chicks for their return to the wild. Discover kiwi conservation in action and learn all about New Zealand’s most iconic bird, the kiwi. You will also have chance to observe our resident adult kiwi foraging in our Nocturnal House.
