The National Kiwi Hatchery is the national leader in kiwi husbandry, egg incubation systems, hatching techniques and kiwi chick rearing.
When you join one of our experiences during hatching season, you'll get to see kiwi eggs being incubated, the hatching process and newly hatched kiwi chicks. Educational, thought-provoking and truly unique experiences, you'll get to see how we're helping kiwi at the largest and most successful kiwi hatchery in the world.
Please note: Hatching Season is September-March. Outside of these months there may not be eggs or chicks to see on site, but our resident adult kiwi will be foraging in our Nocturnal House for you to observe.

Behind the Scenes Exclusive
A truly unique opportunity to learn about our world-renowned kiwi hatchery.
You are invited to step ‘behind the glass’ for an immersive experience to join the hatchery team in a staff-only area to learn about the incubation and chick rearing techniques from global experts.
Tickets are $299 per adult.
